With over 25 thousand international buyers in attendance, the event, held concurrently at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre and Istanbul Expo Centre (IFM), witnessed the sealing of multi-billion-dollar business agreements.

The Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF), recognized as one of the premier gatherings in the global furniture sector, concluded with a total of 167,500 attendees, comprising 141,736 domestic visitors and 25,764 foreigners from 156 nations. Over the course of 6 days, the fair, bolstered by 28 halls and tents to accommodate high demand, saw participation from more than 1,000 exhibitors and over 3 thousand brands, resulting in the signing of multi-billion-dollar collaborations. Spanning an area of 200,000 square meters, the event not only surpassed last year’s attendance but also marked the inaugural inclusion of foreign exhibitors from 5 different countries alongside Turkish companies.

“Both our sector and our fair are growing with confident steps”

Ahmet Güleç, President of the Federation of Furniture Associations (MOSFED), reflected on the successful conclusion of the Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF), stating, “The Istanbul Furniture Fair once again demonstrated the steady growth of both our sector and our exhibition. Surpassing last year’s figure of 121 thousand visitors, including 13 thousand foreigners, was a clear testament to this growth. Over 1,000 participants engaged with procurement professionals from 156 countries, resulting in the establishment of new business agreements. The impact of these agreements on our sector will be evident within the year, contributing significantly to our 2023 targets. Continuously enhancing our product and design quality, the Turkish furniture sector ranks among the top 8 exporting countries and boasts remarkable product diversity, placing us among the top 4 globally. Proudly representing our country in international forums, we are steadily progressing towards our goal of becoming one of the world’s top 5 exporters. The attendance of 167,500 visitors at the fair has revitalized our optimism for the future. With the Istanbul Furniture Fair, we have initiated the journey toward our 6 billion dollar export target in the 100th year of our Republic, and we are committed to achieving this target through dedicated efforts for the remainder of the year.”
