As the Ministry of Trade maintains its strategic focus on production, investment, employment, and exports, the Turkish Exporters Assembly convened the 2028 Export Promotion and Marketing Vision Meeting. During the meeting, the trajectory for Turkey’s exports of goods and services was outlined, with particular emphasis on the recently announced targets of $400 billion for goods exports and $200 billion for services exports.

Furniture Sector is Strong to Realise Targets

Ahmet Güleç, President of the Furniture Associations Federation (MOSFED), attended the 2023 Export Promotion and Marketing Vision Meeting, where Turkey’s export objectives were delineated. He stated, “Turkey aims for a goods export target of $400 billion by 2028, with a recently announced service export goal of $200 billion. As the furniture sector, our export ambition for 2028 stands at $12 billion. With our industry’s expertise, resources, and drive, we are poised to achieve this objective. When considering all furniture, paper, and forestry products within this scope, we anticipate a journey toward $20 billion.” Turkey’s furniture sector, which consistently improves its design and product quality, has been achieving commendable export figures annually. It is progressively advancing toward its future goals, having exported $4.7 billion last year, marking an 11.23 percent increase, and reaching $2.272 billion in the first six months of this year. The sector remains committed to bolstering production, employment, and investments, maintaining its momentum without falter.
